Digital Alberta is pleased to announce the first in a series of upcoming workshops, all of which are geared to
provide our members with unique opportunities to train directly with experts in their fields.
The first workshop in the series -- "Digital Painting" -- will be led by Jaysin from the brilliant DPI Studios. He will walk through the step-by-step the process he uses, as you follow along creating the digital painting yourself.
As an artist looking to branching into illustration, design, animation, or gaming this course offers you the opportunity to expand your portfolio and showcase examples of your work that potential employers want to see.
Note that familiarity with Photoshop and Wacom tablets are a prerequisite for the workshop.

Speaker's Bio
Jaysin is mostly known for his collaborative work with Embrio at DPIStudios. Together they have been creating digital artwork for over tenyears. Focusing on fantasy and sci-fi artwork their projects have includedwork for the World of Warcraft trading card game by Upper Deck, interiorart for White Wolf role playing games and many others.Outside of his work with DPI Studios Jaysin was also an accomplishedfreelance comic book colorist working with studios and companies such asMarvel, DC, and Image comics as well coloring Transformer style guides forHasbro.The one thing that has been constant through the years he has been workingon these projects is the tools he uses; Photoshop and Painter. He has beenworking with Photoshop for 13 years and it's the tricks and techniquesthat he has used for all those years that he will be sharing in this oneday workshop.
