The judges have released the list of finalists for the 2010 mediaFRESH Awards.

The Video 2.0 workshop organized by Digital Alberta and led at the Banff Centre the weekend of March 4-7th was a great success in large part to the efforts and dedication of Board Director and Marketing Chair, Alex Gault and our partners at the Banff New Media Institute. 

This morning in San Francisco DFAIT's Trade Commissioner Service held a breakfast for all federal and provincial government and association contacts at GDC - San Francisco. 

Digital Alberta hosted a Poster Design contest for the Agenda cover page of the Digital Tableau: Art and Craft of Digital Media workshop that was held at The Banff Centre February 4-7, 2010. Congratulations to the winner, Crystal McNair. Crystal's workshop registration fee was waived as part of the reward.

Last month the Directors of Digital Alberta held a two-day Board Governance Workshop. These workshops are designed to build the governance skills of not-for-profit boards.

Digital Alberta hosted a networking event in Lethbridge last Wednesday. Ron Thiele, President of Xpan Interactive, Rene Smid, Digital Alberta’a Executive Director and Leanne Elias, Digital Alberta Director and U of L professor, spoke to a crowd of 40 at a very well-received event.
